DesiRath is the Oswal family's kitchen, opened to the whole country. It began with a simple problem: the bhujia you carry back from Bikaner in your suitcase never lasts the month. So we built the cart that keeps going back for you — with the same purity we'd insist on for our own thali.

What we ship, and why it tastes like Bikaner

Bikaner's namkeen is a craft, not a factory line. The bhujia is pressed through brass sieves into hot oil the same afternoon the moth dal is milled; papad is rolled thin enough to read through; ghewar is set in ghee only in the months the air is dry enough for it to crisp.

We work directly with a handful of halwai families in Bikaner's old city. We buy in small lots, pack in the city and dispatch within the week — no warehouse in another state, no months on a shelf.

Alongside the snacks and sweets, we carry the desert pantry: ker, sangri, kumatiya and gunda sun‑dried the traditional way, and the spice blends those dishes are cooked with. If it is on a Bikaneri kitchen shelf, it should be on ours.

Everything we sell is veg, most of it also onion‑ and garlic‑free.

Adulterated namkeen is everywhere — besan cut with cheaper flours, bhujia fried in reused oil, sweets brightened with synthetic colour, spices bulked with starch. Everything in a DesiRath packet is what its name says it is. That is the whole promise, and it is not negotiable.

Moth dal and gram milled for us in Bikaner. No mixed flours, no fillers.
Fresh oil and desi ghee

Fried in fresh groundnut oil; ghewar and mithai set in ghee, never vanaspati.
